I"ve had verizion wireless and straight talk. I get same coverage without spending all the extra money on those plans. I love total wireless. Saves me money.Great reception. I live in the country where its hard to get good reception:)

Horrible experience!!! Had to buy a total wireless phone (smart phone) Came without cell case , had to order, then , sim card went out, Said it would take 3 days took 10 to get. Kept calling company & couldn't understand them. No service for the 1st 3 days every month & had to call them again. The next month sim card went out again (this month). I'm done! Ran out of data shut my internet off. I purchased two other data plans that supposed to roll over and now I have because it's on my account and they said I did not have it and then was forced in to use service plan before my due date to use my internet that I have to use every day at work Read more

I love total wireless. It costs very little and uses the fastest network without the contract. However customer service sucks. They each will tell you different things when asked which sort of makes you think none if them have a clue and were never trained like they just plucked someone off the street and put them in front of the computer and handed them a headset and said go. How much is you time worth? That is what will be the determination of how much money you save while being with Total Wireless. For my family the upfront savings seem great. We are now going into month 3 with Total Wireless (TW), we have 3 line plan with 2 smart phones and one basic phone. 12 gigs of data between 2 smart phones and about $85 when set with auto pay. First off; not American and youcan NOT get anyone to transfer you to America so they do NOT speak American english, so wasted time with the language issue. Second; They (customer service reps) each tell you conflicting "facts" about the service ie- texting pictures is not available if you add data during the month, phone calls do NOT work if you get low on data, 3g service is iffy and likely 1x while all other carriers are receiving 3g and... Data runs out quickly. Not even a week!! Then can't put $10 on for more data because I am adding it to my son's phone and do not want my credit card to be kept on file.

Every month when my cycle was billed, I had to get a new sim card. They couldn't explain to me why that happened. Hours on the phone and website chat. I lost days and days of having cell service. They wouldn't even garuntee a new sim card to be overnighted. I told them they are losing a customer if they don't overnight it. Seemed to be ok with that.
